Newmor Enlists Mapmaker Stephen Walter for Cartographic Wall Coverings
GPS just can’t compete with Stephen Walter’s artisanal topography. Best known for his handmade maps, the artist turns his talent toward interiors with nine wall covering patterns for family-owned manufacturer Newmor. His drawings are an intricate tangle of signs, words, and images that entice the viewer into his world. The custom-sized graphics can be printed onto several substrates, including paper-backed or fabric-backed vinyl and window film. London Subterranea traces lost rivers, while Hub depicts places of interest in the city’s central district.
